Permanent Outdoor Lights in Round Rock

Permanent Outdoor Lights in Round Rock, North of Austin

Round Rock has grown from a historic railroad town into one of the busiest family suburbs in Central Texas. Many streets are lined with two-story homes, garage-forward elevations and long fascia runs that look sharp with a clean, continuous line of light. Ohm Sweet Ohm installs Bosso Smart Lighting as an authorized dealer and handles the design, installation, app setup and local service for Round Rock homeowners.

Instead of hanging and removing strands every December, a permanent system lives in low-profile aluminum track under the roof edge. During the day the track is color-matched to the trim. After dark, each addressable light can hold a warm everyday white, shift to a holiday palette or follow a schedule from the free Bosso Lights app.

Round Rock Rooflines: Brick, Stone and Two-Story Elevations

Neighborhoods such as Teravista, Forest Creek, Behrens Ranch and Paloma Lake are full of brick and stone fronts, multiple gables and garages that face the street. Those layouts reward planning. A front gable, a garage run and a porch line can each read differently at night, so the design starts by deciding which edges matter most from the curb.

Older homes near Old Town Round Rock can bring porches, additions and shorter roof sections. There the goal is usually restraint: follow the main roofline, keep transitions tidy and avoid chasing every small edge. During the free design visit we map the elevations, choose a Bosso track profile and color, and plan where the controller and wiring will go.

Zones for School Nights, Holidays and Game Days

Plenty of Round Rock households want a quiet warm white most evenings and something brighter a few times a year. Bosso supports up to eight zones per controller, so the front roofline, garage and back patio can each run their own scene. Holiday colors can stay on the front of the house while the backyard stays calm.

Team colors are easy to add for a big game, and a schedule can turn the whole system off at a set time so the street stays comfortable for neighbors.

The Bosso Lights app is free with no subscription. Bosso uses ARGBW modules, which means red, green and blue plus a dedicated white diode, so white scenes look like true white instead of a blend. Before the crew leaves, we set up your first scenes and walk you through the app.

Weather, Placement and Honest Specs

Central Texas sun, heat, heavy rain and the occasional hailstorm are reasons to ask precise questions. Bosso publishes IP68 sealing for the light modules, which covers water and dust. It is not a hail, wind or impact rating, so a quote should never present it that way. Ask how the crew will route wiring, protect connections and work around your trim and gutters.

Your Round Rock Quote: Scope, Track, Access and HOA Questions

A useful quote shows more than a total: the measured linear footage, the elevations included, the track profile and color, the controller location, the zones, the wiring approach and app setup. Bosso publishes a five-year parts warranty and one-year labor warranty. Ohm Sweet Ohm backs the installation itself with a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Many Round Rock communities have HOAs with architectural guidelines. Rules vary, so confirm your community's current requirements before installation. We can provide a description of the low-profile track, the color and the planned route to include with an application.
