Hillside homes. Architectural lighting, every night. We start with the address, not a prepackaged strand. An Ohm Sweet Ohm designer maps the actual roofline, chooses a track color, and gives you a written quote before installation.
Permanent Outdoor Lights in West Lake Hills, Just west of downtown Austin
West Lake Hills sits just west of downtown Austin, with wooded hillsides, winding streets and a mix of classic and modern homes. Permanent lighting can highlight that architecture every evening, not only in December. Ohm Sweet Ohm installs Bosso Smart Lighting as an authorized dealer and handles design, installation, app setup and local service.
The lights sit in low-profile aluminum track under the roof edge, color-matched to the trim. After dark, the free Bosso Lights app runs warm white, color or a schedule.
Wooded Lots and Varied Architecture
West Lake Hills and nearby areas such as Rollingwood, Eanes and Westlake Highlands include mid-century ranches, modern builds and large remodels. Mature trees and steep driveways affect what is visible from the street, so the design focuses on the edges people actually see.
Steep lots also affect access and wiring. During the free design visit we look at roof height, ladder placement and the controller location, and choose a track color that suits the materials.
Warm White as Architectural Lighting
For many homes here, permanent lights work best as architectural lighting: a consistent warm white that defines the roofline every night. Holiday color is still available when you want it.
Zones let the front, entry and outdoor living areas run different scenes. Schedules keep everything consistent without anyone flipping a switch.
The Bosso Lights app is free with no subscription. Bosso uses ARGBW modules, which means red, green and blue plus a dedicated white diode, so white scenes look like true white instead of a blend. Before the crew leaves, we set up your first scenes and walk you through the app.
Weather, Placement and Honest Specs
Central Texas sun, heat, heavy rain and the occasional hailstorm are reasons to ask precise questions. Bosso publishes IP68 sealing for the light modules, which covers water and dust. It is not a hail, wind or impact rating, so a quote should never present it that way. Ask how the crew will route wiring, protect connections and work around your trim and gutters.
Your West Lake Hills Quote: Scope, Track, Access and HOA Questions
A useful quote shows more than a total: the measured linear footage, the elevations included, the track profile and color, the controller location, the zones, the wiring approach and app setup. Bosso publishes a five-year parts warranty and one-year labor warranty. Ohm Sweet Ohm backs the installation itself with a lifetime workmanship warranty.

A written plan before the first light goes up.
At the free design visit, we look at peaks, columns, fascia, soffit, roof access and Wi-Fi location. We select a Bosso track profile and color; plan how the zones will behave; and show a written quote. The professional install keeps wiring tidy and the controller accessible. Before the crew leaves, we set up your first scenes and walk through the app together.
Bosso builds the hardware and app. Ohm Sweet Ohm is the independent authorized dealer that designs, installs, services and handles local warranty conversations. Bosso publishes a 5-year parts and 1-year labor warranty. Ohm Sweet Ohm backs every installation with a lifetime workmanship warranty.
IP68 speaks to sealing at the light module. It does not establish a hail-impact, wind, operating-temperature or salt-air rating. Ask us to verify any exposure question for your property with Bosso rather than accept a guess.
